What is the DDY Queer Yoga Scholarship?
We believe that y’all means all and we are committed to creating diversity in our community, and on our team. We created the Queer Yoga scholarship for this purpose.
Queer Yoga is a space for people in the queer community to come together, practice yoga, and get to know each other. This community class takes place the first Saturday of every month and is open to all queer students and queer allies.
We decided to put the proceeds of this class into a scholarship fund for queer students to deepen their practice and get certified to teach yoga. Governments are trying every day to silence queer people. We want to use our privilege to help amplify their voices, on and off the mat.
With this in mind, we are offering FIVE partial scholarships to our upcoming yoga teacher trainings in Atlanta and in the Dominican Republic for queer students. Both of these trainings are fully certified Yoga Alliance approved yoga school.
Applicants should identify as Queer.

Applications are awarded on a rolling basis.
This scholarship is open to any Queer student. We do give priority to students in the state of Georgia 🍑 for our Atlanta training. We want to help create more diversity, more understanding, more connection, more accessibility. Please note— most scholarships for the 200 and 300 Hour programs range from $500 to $1000 and scholarships for CEU’s and individual workshops offer about 25% of investment.
